Kate is a Holistic Nutritionist and Natural Foods Chef who is passionate about being able to help people discover the power of food and it’s key to wellness in a happy, meaningful and healthy life; What she refers to as Rebel Health, living outside of the box, astray from the norm. Kate was one of our first Raw interviews and we’ve been inspired by her journey ever since.
A born Vancouverite with some worldly experience, Kate is a ballet dancer turned model, designer and entrepreneur. She is a trained Clinical Counselor and now a Nutritionist and holistic chef. Her training is vast, but not nearly as extensive the life lessons she attributes for both finding her purpose, success and healing.

Why did you choose this recipe?
Eating a Smoothie bowl is all the elements I want to nourish my body, the goods -the greens, the superfoods and the sustaining protein, oh and all the satisfaction and comfort! It’s also easy. It’s a feast for the eyes and the bod, both equally important. It leaves me feeling fulfilled and nourished from cell to skin without compromise or restriction. The beautiful balance.
What is your favourite self-care ritual?
Sweat, Smoothie, and Silence. I need elements of all of these above at some point in my day.
If you could give one message to other women regarding to self-care, food, movement or health what would it be?
We can begin to look at health and happiness when we integrate change in the mind, the body, and through moving. One does not happen without the other and we need to integrate all aspects gently, if we want to look at sustainable health.
Your food philosophy?
Intuition is our friend- we need to reestablish this relationship. Eat more plants- Whole, real, natural or in as close to their natural state as possible. How a plant acts in the environment is how we want it to act in our body…full of life and strength! Lastly, eat for your happiness and health, they are one in the same.
