Tell us about yourself in under 100 words.
If I could describe myself in three words, it would be passionate, silly, and loyal. I have a lot of love to give be it my family, friends, animals…even strangers. Since I was a little girl, I couldn’t help but look at the big picture in life. I work hard, I relax hard, and I’m a big believer in that the best is always yet to come.
If you were talking on the phone to someone you had never met how would you describe your appearance?
I’m 5’10”. I have blue eyes that tend to look gray and brown hair. I have been compared to Liv Tyler since I was 15 years old, so that might make it easier for someone to visualize. Oh, and I’m probably in a sun dress.
Have you ever struggled with a lack of confidence or insecurities?
Of course! I can think of so many example. I was 5’9 when I was in 9th grade. I felt like Big Bird. I also struggled with cystic acne for years, so I always thought people were looking at my skin and cringing. Our face is our first impression. I just wanted to hide.
When do you feel most beautiful?
I feel beautiful after a shower. I love sitting on the couch, in a robe, without make-up on. I’ve always loved that “wet-hair, dewy skin” look. It’s pure and not trying to be anything else but that.
What are your “Not Enough” feelings?
Owning a business has been one of the most eye-opening experiences. I want my hard work to pay off, but sometimes when it does, I get a little insecure and scared. It’s sometimes easier just to keep the train moving and congratulate yourself later. I’ve exceeded my expectations and that’s sometimes a hard thing to pat myself on the back about.
If you were given the option to change your appearance would you? If yes, what would you change?
If someone asked me that 10 years ago, I would have a laundry list of things I’d like to change. Now, at 33, I can say I’m happy in my own skin. Of course, I have days I feel bloated or tired, but at the end of the day, I am happy when I look in the mirror.
What are 5 things you love about yourself?
My optimism. My sense of humor. My intuition. My eyes. And my skin.
I say cellulite, you think:
